Chapter 1: A Curated Collection of Nostalgia
Dear devoted readers and friends of Medium, greetings this June! I've compiled a collection of 141 stories across various topics, providing fresh options for new readers. With a growing team of writers and an influx of hundreds of drafts, I still find time to highlight some hidden gems. Aiden, our dedicated curator, often showcases new pieces. Here’s his latest contribution.
Recently, I delved into new research surrounding osteoporosis, a significant concern for older adults like myself. In just the past two days, we welcomed over 300 new writers, and I have introduced them to previous collections. Supporting new voices is essential for their confidence and growth, fostering a joyful community that values diversity.
Aiden also penned a heartwarming story about gaming for seniors. If you’re mature and have yet to explore computer or video games, his experiences with his grandparents might just spark your interest. However, I faced censorship from Mr. Algo, who seemed offended by my feedback. I’ll keep pushing and guiding this imperfect algorithm.
I also shared my first gaming piece on Aiden’s platform. Mistakes are part of our journey, and embracing forgiveness is crucial for both healing and nurturing relationships. Dr. Mehmet Yildiz's insightful story on forgiveness resonated with me deeply, shedding light on the importance of letting go for our well-being.

Chapter 2: Welcoming New Voices
Today, Aiden introduced another fresh voice, Karen Goldfarb. I'm also thrilled to introduce Naya Monroe, MA, LCDC-I, a budding writer contributing to my publications. Let's give her a warm welcome! Naya has beautifully explored music therapy in her latest piece. Aiden has also introduced Tejus Yakhob, who we believe will bring exciting perspectives to our platform.
In a recent piece, Aiden discussed the changing beliefs of young Sheldon, highlighting his newfound religion. While I remain agnostic, I respect the diverse viewpoints that shape our community.
I’m now introducing contributors to my publications, starting with Dr. Adam Tabriz, an esteemed medical professional. I hope you enjoy his humorous introduction. Dr. Tabriz is now also an editor for ILLUMINATION and has launched a new publication, Integrated Healthcare, within our group. Let’s support this initiative!
Dr. Tabriz has also created a new account, Adam Ray Tabriz, MD, and will be an editor for Health and Science. Please follow his insights as he guides you on your health journey.
ILLUMINATION editors have introduced two remarkable writers, Jack Kammer, MSW, MBA, and Joshua Mason. Be sure to explore their stories and give them a warm welcome.
Chapter 3: Curation and Insights
I’m currently curating health and science narratives from ILLUMINATION's archives, hoping to uncover valuable stories that may have been overlooked. Recently, I tackled a subject that intrigued me—understanding the role of XLRs in fat loss and metabolic health, clarified by Dr. Yildiz in a recent article.
As I age, the concerns surrounding Alzheimer’s disease weigh heavily on my mind. I don’t want to become a burden due to memory loss.
Thanks to a witty prompt from a fellow writer, my creativity has surged. Cheers to that! 🥂 I also wrote a satirical piece about the absurdity of AI and its potential downfall, injecting humor into a serious topic.
Racism remains a significant contributor to the suffering of many innocent young individuals in the U.S. We must continue to address this issue.
Our editorial team recently enjoyed a compelling piece by Lawson Wallace, showcasing his success on YouTube. This has encouraged us all to dream bigger.
Last week, we welcomed over 200 new writers, bringing our total to nearly 30,000. I introduced them in previous collections, so please extend a warm welcome and explore their contributions.
I was particularly moved by Aiden's recent story, which evoked powerful emotions. I attempted to express these feelings through my writing, creating a narrative that resonated with many.
Chapter 4: Celebrating Growth and Change
As I reflect on my experiences, I wrote a piece focusing on aging and longevity, incorporating humor and insights from my cardiologist son and a retired cardiologist writer.
Aiden's recent revelations in Health and Science have been both shocking and enlightening. Topics range from the psychology of doctor preferences to the alarming rise of alcohol-related deaths.
My publication has experienced rapid growth, prompting me to recruit more editors. Currently, 10 editors and two boost nominators are on board. I plan to release a newsletter soon, inviting writers interested in health and science to contribute to our ever-expanding platform.
The publication guidelines are ready for those eager to join. We aim to provide rapid publication and promotion for all contributors. I'm grateful to Dr. Yildiz for amplifying our message and inviting new voices to join the conversation.
Expect weekly updates featuring my top curated health and science stories, along with insights from our thriving community. Thank you for being a part of this journey, and let’s continue to share these important narratives.
