Chapter 1: Reflecting on Change
As I turned 30, I found myself contemplating the swift passage of time.
Life seems to rush by at incredible speeds, often without our awareness.
I pondered my achievements over the years. What have I really accomplished? Admittedly, not much. However, everything shifted for me last year when I began writing on Medium. That was the catalyst that pushed me to take charge of my life and pursue my true aspirations.
What held me back from starting sooner? What inspired me to choose writing as my outlet? I wish to share my experiences and the evolution that led me to this point, as I pen this article from a cozy coffee shop.
Section 1.1: My Previous Existence
Before my awakening, my daily routine was far from fulfilling. I spent most of my days sleeping and would only come alive at night, indulging in gaming.
Some days, I barely paused to eat, often munching mindlessly while glued to the screen. This was how life slipped away, unnoticed. My interests revolved solely around tech updates and travel content, neglecting the richness of life outside my comfort zone.
Subsection 1.1.1: A New Perspective
The turning point came when I stumbled upon the concept of digital nomadism. It was a lifestyle I had always fantasized about, yet I dismissed it, thinking it was unattainable due to my health challenges.
Still, I realized that this shouldn’t hinder me from pursuing a life I truly desire. Life is a singular journey, and we must strive to make the most of it. This revelation hit me hard when a cherished friend reminded me of its importance.
Section 1.2: The Call to Write
I opted to start writing on Medium because it welcomes aspiring writers with open arms, regardless of their experience level. This platform is ideal for beginners like me; there’s no need to construct anything elaborate—just write!
You can express your thoughts freely, anytime, and from anywhere. All you need is a laptop and internet access. Writing has become a fulfilling endeavor, revitalizing my spirit and motivating me to venture outside, seeking experiences akin to those of a digital nomad.
