If you have valuable content ideas for YouTube or if you're a writer on Medium contemplating how to convert your articles into engaging video formats, this guide is for you. Below is a step-by-step approach I used to transform one of my Medium pieces into a video presentation.
Step 1: Creating AI Avatars
To begin, I selected a Medium article that I believed would be captivating as a video. The first task was to design avatars that would narrate the content. The beauty of AI avatars is their versatility in style, ranging from illustrations to cartoons. For this project, I opted for photo-realistic avatars to create a more natural feel. I used Midjourney to craft these two avatars for the narration:
Step 2: Animating the Avatars
Next, I utilized D-ID’s Creative Reality Studio to bring the avatars to life. If you're unfamiliar with D-ID’s innovative face animation technology, I have a separate article discussing it. I uploaded the avatar images and copy-pasted the article script into Creative Reality Studio, making slight modifications for a more conversational tone. After selecting suitable voices, I generated the videos for each avatar segment and downloaded the final versions. It’s worth noting that you can also create avatars directly within Creative Reality Studio, as it utilizes Stable Diffusion.
Step 3: Enhancing with AI Images and Music
To enrich the video presentation, I generated relevant images and music. I created visuals corresponding to the text using Midjourney. For background music, I employed Riffusion, an AI text-to-music tool, to produce a light techno ambiance. The prompts I used included ‘psychedelic trance’ and ‘soft percussive groove.’ Since Riffusion doesn't currently allow music downloads, I captured the audio using Apple's QuickTime Player.
Step 4: Editing the Video with Adobe Premiere
With all components gathered, I turned to Adobe Premiere for the editing process. If you don’t have Premiere, any video editing software will suffice. To enhance your video, consider incorporating transitions, adjusting avatar placements, and adding slight movements to the avatars. Investing time in learning video editing techniques will greatly improve the professionalism of your videos.

Here is the final composition of the video. The entire process of creating this video took roughly 4-5 hours from start to finish. While watching, remember that this video was designed to illustrate potential rather than achieve a polished, professional quality. Think of it as a draft showcasing what’s possible.
