Jennifer Homendy from the National Transportation Safety Board remarked, “We are very, very fortunate here that this didn't end up in something more tragic."
This event marked another setback for Boeing, leading to the grounding of 171 aircraft as airlines discovered loose bolts on door plugs in several 737 MAX 9s. An initial report by the NTSB indicated that the detachment was due to four missing bolts.
Despite the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) clearing the planes to resume operations, public trust in Boeing remains shaky.
