Renegade Writing: My Ultimate Creative High Experience

Written on

Chapter 1: Embracing the Writer's High

There’s hardly anything in this world that excites The Professor of Medium more than crafting an exceptional article. Writing is not just enjoyable; it's thrilling and can relax me faster than almost anything else. For me, it’s a euphoric experience with no adverse effects.

To be honest, my experience with substances is limited. While I indulge in a bit of wine now and then—mostly for its health perks and the joy it brings—I’m not exactly a connoisseur of drugs. I’ve dabbled with marijuana in the past, but let’s be real: either you smoked it or you didn’t. I guess my little “experiments” have been successful, as I’ve felt higher than Shaquille O'Neal on a good day.

That said, writing remains my number one passion. I’d prefer to be intoxicated by my own words, relishing the burst of dopamine I get from producing something I genuinely love. It's a joy to revisit my older pieces and find myself laughing at my own humor.

Section 1.1: Finding Joy in Humor

One of the greatest highs I experience as a writer comes from crafting something funny. This is the aspect of my blog that I cherish the most. If you’ve been following my work, you’ll know that humor is my favorite genre.

Nothing compares to the joy of laughing out loud while writing a comedic piece. When I revisit my work, I often rediscover parts that make me chuckle all over again. The thrill of laughter is an integral part of my writing journey.

Section 1.2: The Rush of a Successful Article

Seeing one of my articles gain momentum quickly is exhilarating. I’ve always been a stats enthusiast, a habit that dates back to my childhood as a baseball fan. I loved tracking player performances and predicting outcomes.

This passion for stats has seamlessly transitioned into my writing career. After publishing a new piece, I can usually predict its performance within hours. The feeling of validation when an article resonates with readers is simply unmatched.

Section 1.3: The Joy of Social Shares

I genuinely appreciate those who share my writing on social media. The process of sharing articles on platforms like Medium can be cumbersome, yet when someone chooses to share my work, it's a delightful surprise.

I don’t post my own writing often, so when others take the time to promote my content, it’s incredibly gratifying. Knowing that amidst the vast array of content online, someone has opted to highlight my work is a feeling that surpasses any high.

Section 1.4: The Satisfaction of Provoking Responses

Believe it or not, receiving backlash for my writing brings me a peculiar sense of satisfaction. Initially, I might feel slight irritation, but then I remind myself: there’s no such thing as bad publicity.

I admire figures like Howard Stern, who evoke strong reactions from both fans and detractors. His example inspires me to embrace my identity as a Renegade Writer. I tackle controversial topics head-on and express my views passionately, regardless of criticism.

What Sparks Your Writer's High?

I’m curious to know what aspects of writing bring you your own euphoric experiences. What fuels your creative fire? We all have different motivations for our passion for writing.

As for me, it's time to grab my writing tools and ignite the next piece of creativity for you all to enjoy. Smoke 'em if you’ve got 'em. &:^)
